It’s been raining a lot here these days, so this song popped into my head when I was thinking about this weeks theme. Such a fun song I remember from when I was a little girl…

and I love love love the scenes in Spiderman 2 where they use this song. Classic!

10 on 10… {May}

Welcome back to my 10 on 10… another project I am undertaking this year with a few other very talented ladies. On the 10th of each month, all 17 of us will blog 10 pictures taken over the course of one day. I decided to do this as another way of documenting our everyday life. Even though I take a lot of pictures of my kids, some times I get too busy and forget to remember the little, everyday things that make this life ours. My goal with this monthly challenge is to try, even for only one day each month, to document those things more. I hope you will follow along and maybe be inspired to record more of the little details that make up your every-day lives…

took Joey to his bus stop early and it was foggy…

Two of my three girls had a day off, so we took Erin to preschool, and ran some errands. It was nice to have their company for a change. Here we are as we were leaving the house. Epic fail with the focus here, but I love the photo anyway…

back to preschool to pick up Erin…

and then I surprised the girls with a trip to Chuck E Cheese…

home to unload the goods from our earlier errands…

and then outside to cool off with some water spray…

and more cooling off with popsicles…

checked on Emily’s plants…

had tea with cat…

and a story before bed…

beyond my understanding…

Job 37:5 God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.

Last year I bought a flower based purely on its coolness… which I found out later was a Passiflora.

It was so unique. Unique in its looks, and unique in the way the beautiful blooms only lasted for one day, but only one or two bloomed at a time along the vine. At the end of fall, it died and many times I thought about ripping the stump out of my pot, in anticipation for a new plant. And then a few days ago, I realized the plant came back! With little leaves popping off the stump, which had also regained its green color. I am amazed at the little ‘feelers’ this plant puts out, and I watch as over time they find a surface and then wrap around for support. It’s beyond my understanding how this little plant knows how to do this. Oh how I love to see God’s amazing work right on my front porch!
