Project: Create {week 3}

I’ll be joining my Macro Monday friends again this year for another year long project, but this time? It’ll be for Project: Create. Our goal is to just get out there and be creative. I hope you follow along with this project as we play, stretch, and grow! You’ll find a link to the next photographer in our circle at the end of my post. Enjoy! and may you be inspired to get creative as well!

Well, old habits are hard to break… and me and my macro definitely are ‘an old habit’. I gave the LensBaby a rest this week, and took a macro walk around our yard after our last ice storm. Seems to be the year for snow and ice in my neck of the woods. I didn’t want to shoot another LensBaby session with the kids and snow, and with all the white around, its hard to see anything else.  I did, however, try to shoot from some more interesting angles and perspectives. Some of the photos you might have to look at the angle of the icicle to figure out where I was, or what you are seeing (It’s not as easy as you think to shove a big macro lens under an ice covered tree that is dripping, and shoot icicles looking up 😉 ). I also edited these a bit differently than I usually do. I wanted them to ‘feel’ like winter, as much as they look like winter.

Please continue through our circle – next up is the talented Cathy Kuhlman | Cathy Kuhlman Photography – Happy Monday!

Another well done effort Denean! I love the perspective on these and the processing! Your patience and talent shine through!
